Learn to add background to your live | StreamYard Tutorial

When you are live, you may want to protect your privacy, or even to seem cool! 😎

It is quite easy with StreamYard, our live software.

Before entering the studio: from link received by e-mail

Starting from a link received from e-mail, no need to worry, you still can make it before going live.

Go to settings

Not sure how it may appear on your computer, since it depends on your language. It is the gears, as icon.

After accessing the setting, choose something like "background", the person icon, it may change according to your language.

You can:

  1. Set your own image;

  2. Set a predefined image;

  3. Use no background;

  4. Just make the background "fuzzy"

Note. even though it may seem bad when you test it, when it goes live, it is cool. Use Green Screen if you have it!

Tips. If you have a background that is green, you can do it easily by using green paper of any kind; just place it behind you, make sure you cover all the seen background, if you have OBS, you can cut the background and use virtual camera on StreamYard. You can also buy green screen, just bought one that is still to arrive that stick on the chair!

Advanced. create a fake green screen, tried, worked fine. The drawback is: it requires computer power, a lot, but it works; if you forget to leave the Google Meet activated, as I did, it stays stopped, your image will not move. I suggest you to use a real green screen!

After entering the studio: from setting

The process is the same, just click on the settings (gear icon), and follow the same process.

We we have fun together online!
